Our vision is to create a multicultural hub and bring together an international community of travelers. We offer true hospitality, bring people together and help travelers fully explore all that this region has to offer. We aim to meet the needs of independent travelers from an affordable bed and trustworthy tour and travel information to language classes, bike rentals and fun local events.
Abraham Hostels and Tours operates out of three major tourism hubs in Israel – Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Nazareth. Our hostels are inspired by the unique character of each city. In Nazareth you can relax in a 200 year old Arab mansion. In Tel Aviv, the funky “city that never sleeps”, our hostel features works of art from local artists throughout the lounge and lobby. Jerusalem is a true blend of old and new, with middle-eastern motifs meeting modern Israeli culture.
Each hostel prides itself on its top of the line facilities, including fully stocked bars, complimentary breakfasts, large guest kitchens, free wifi and lounges. Our spacious public areas provide a place for travellers to meet, talk, relax and enjoy the constant cultural events that Abraham Hostels organize.
Abraham Tours operates tours, multi day packages and transportation services across the region (Israel, West Bank, Jordan and Egypt). The Abraham Bus allows guests to travel to our various locations right from our front door. This unique combination of locations and tours provides backpackers with true hospitality across the country. .
Abraham Hostels has expanded and now offers accommodation for business travelers in Tel Aviv. Recognizing the specific needs of young entrepreneurs and companies, Abraham Business combines comfortable accommodation in the center of Tel Aviv along with private and shared working spaces, events, transportation and tours.
In 2010 our founders, Maoz Inon, Gal Mor, Nitzan Kimchi, Yaron Burgin and Dror Tishler, three young Israeli backpackers and two veteran nomads, dreamed of a hostel and tour company that would function as a one-stop-shop in the hopes of making Israel a destination for independent backpackers, stimulating the local economy and revealing the reality and value of this region to the world. They wanted a hostel that would unite travelers and provide more than an affordable bed, but also trustworthy travel information, tours and transportation along with immersive cultural experiences.
Abraham Hostels and Tours story began with the first guesthouse in the old city of Nazareth, the Fauzi Azar Inn, founded in 2005 and later integrated with the rest of the group.. The Jesus Trail, Abraham Tour’s first world-famous tour, allows travelers to truly follow in Jesus’ footsteps as they hike through major biblical locations. The Fauzi Azar Inn and Jesus Trail quickly became integral for Nazareth, revamping the local economy and the perceptions of the city, earning the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Award for “Best Accommodation for Local Communities.” Starting with the Jesus Trail, Abraham Hostel and Tours now offers a wide variety of tours all over Israel, Jordan and Egypt for an authentic and memorable experience.
A few years later, Abraham Hostel Jerusalem was born in 2010. The first Abraham Hostel began with six dorms, several private rooms and a makeshift lobby and is now fully equipped with 75 rooms and 285 beds in it’s central location. As independent travelers enjoyed the hostel’s all-inclusive travel packages and social, cosy and laid-back atmosphere, Abraham Hostel Jerusalem quickly gained recognition and praise. Today, what started out as a few dorms and private rooms now offers a beautiful, large common room with a full guest kitchen, a bar, plasma TV room, internet gallery, laundry facilities and more. There are nightly events for guests ranging from Live Music Night to Shabbat Dinner and lectures; from Travelers’ Language Lectures in Hebrew and Arabic to Travel Tips for Israel, the West Bank and the Region. Tours operated by Abraham Tours leave from the lobby everyday visiting sites like the Dead Sea, Galilee, the West Bank, Mahane Yehuda Market, Petra, and Golan Heights among many other locations. More and more each day, Abraham Hostel Jerusalem meets all the needs of the travelers coming to see and experience the Middle East Region.
From all of their success in Jerusalem, the founders developed the trendy and dynamic Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv with 90 rooms and 390 beds. The warm hospitality remains central and is complimented by an urban atmosphere and a leading events’ venue hosting Israel’s top performing artists as well as international performers. A short walk from the beautiful Mediterranean coastline and main cultural attractions, the location is based at the center of Tel Aviv’s buzzing nightlife scene.

Our name is inspired by Abraham, the father of monotheism and the first known person to travel throughout the Middle East. He is a man known for his hospitality with his tent flap always open to offer food, drink and rest and was the first truly regional traveler. Abraham is also a unifying symbol among the area’s most prominent faiths. These qualities made him a fitting representation of what Abraham Hostels hopes to bring to the world, unparalleled hospitality to our time and our guests.
